Work With Me – let me promote your brand. Writing this page is like completing a job application form. I have never been one to blow my own trumpet, so providing the information below is outside of my comfort zone. Anyway, here I go...

With over 40 years of experience in travel and tourism, I have a wealth of knowledge in this exciting industry.

I began working with Japanese corporate clients, who were amazing to work with. Their eye for detail and punctuality shaped me for the rest of my life. I have worked in many aspects of the industry, such as retail travel, an international airline, two tour operators, an airfare specialist and even airport security.

I’ve also been extremely lucky to have travelled as extensively as I have. On two occasions I wandered across continents, lasting over six months each time.

Planes, Trains, Everything tries to capture the spirit and enjoyment of travel, and the need to travel for travel’s sake.

Someone once wrote a good travel writer doesn’t have to go to the ends of the Earth, to jaw dropping, remote locations to write a great story. A good writer can write a great piece closer to home. My Youtube channel takes this to heart and offers a mix of UK domestic and international destinations.

I also don’t take myself too seriously. A journey is rarely without its challenges and surprises (good and bad), so expect things as they really are. I am not a performer, and so record myself as I really am. In fact, I prefer to be behind the camera instead of in front, but it’s not easy to produce a vlog that way!

PTE videos are all family friendly, and actually try to be educational as well as entertaining. In an office I once worked in, with up to 80 staff, we would often be shown supplier videos of their products as part of a training exercise. Although the glossy, polished, professionally finished videos looked fabulous, they rarely stood out from the rest. The most memorable videos had been those with a little humour content, and a little ‘roughness’ to them, which kept the viewer engaged waiting for the next surprise. Although not intentional, I believe my videos fall into this category, and hopefully make them more memorable.

Planes, Trains, Everything may present accommodation and attractions in the areas visited. In addition to the website, readers connect with me via Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Instagram.

This website went live in November 2018, but I have seen a steady rise in visitor numbers and Youtube views. Once these statistics become ‘bragable’, I will be releasing a media kit.
